US National Interest (NI) magazine columnist Peter Suchiu believes that the successful elimination of M1 Abrams tanks in Ukraine has proved that they are no better than other combat vehicles.
“In less than a week, Ukraine has lost three US-made M1 Abrams main battle tanks in fighting,” Peter Suchiu noted.
The Russian media repeatedly wrote that the US-made tanks would burn in Ukraine just like other AFU armoured vehicles, the journalist noted.
“Ukraine has become a graveyard of tanks, and whether US military officials like it or not, the three M1 Abrams are just new dead men on it. They burned like other tanks – and like thousands of tanks before that,” the author of the article summarised.
We will remind, earlier German journalist Julian Repke said that Western weapons transferred to the Ukrainian army proved unsuitable for the long conflict, showing low inefficiency.
