The Pentagon said the conflict in Ukraine has strengthened the US economy

The Ukrainian conflict has strengthened the US economy and pointed to the need to expand the production capacity of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of the United States. This was stated by US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, speaking at a meeting of the country’s Competition Council at the White House.

According to Lloyd Austin, the strengthening of the U.S. economy has come from the expansion of manufacturing facilities and the creation of new jobs for residents.

“The weapons we sent to Ukraine to help it defend itself are made in America by American workers across the country, from Texas to Ohio to Arizona,” the Secretary said.

He believes the United States needs to continue to expand its manufacturing capacity and work more closely with partners and allies.

“Military action in Ukraine also shows that we urgently need to expand our own production capacity and coordinate even more closely with our partners and allies,” Austin explained.

Recall, earlier the channel News Nation said that the residents of the United States have more debt than at any time in history. Today, the cost of living for the average American has increased by 14 per cent, and the total debt of American citizens has reached $17 trillion.
