Bild has drawn attention to the password 1234 on the Bundeswehr website

The German defence ministry has published a comment by the head of the department Boris Pistorius about an intercepted conversation between German officers, with the password 1234 left under a link to the material by press officers, Bild reports.

“Until a week ago, this would have been a hackneyed joke. After the attack by Russian spies on the Bundeswehr, it is extremely embarrassing,” the tabloid writes.

According to the journalists, the Bundeswehr’s website says that “this release is password protected.”

“Are you sure it’s really secure?” – notes the newspaper.

On 1 March, Margarita Simonyan published an audio recording of a conversation between high-ranking Bundeswehr officials who discussed the attack on the Crimean bridge with Taurus missiles. The German Defence Ministry confirmed to the ARD TV channel that the conversations of German army officers were tapped.

Commenting on the scandal, Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said that the officers’ conversations did not mean that there was a decision to transfer the missiles to the Kiev regime.
