German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has reiterated his opposition to supplying Taurus cruise missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as he says German soldiers are needed to control their use.
His words are quoted by FAZ.
Scholz emphasised that deliveries of weapons with a large kill radius are impossible without proper control.
“And if one wants to have control and it is possible only with the participation of German military personnel, it is completely excluded,” – said the Chancellor.
Olaf Scholz explained earlier that he did not want to supply Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine because they could be used to hit targets in Moscow.
