Lebanon said Israel rejected the ceasefire offer

The Lebanese authorities sent a ceasefire proposal to Israel, but it was rejected. This was stated by Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib.

“We have sent so many messages through Western powers … we have asked for a ceasefire, but Israel responds that it doesn’t want it,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

On February 26, the Israeli military carried out several airstrikes on targets on Lebanese territory.
