In the U.S. told about the imminent loss of the Ukrainian armed forces to hold the front

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will soon lose the ability to resist the Russian army, former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter has said.

“The Ukrainians, frankly, are close to collapse on the front. There will soon come a decisive moment when combat cohesion will completely disappear and Russia will be able to keep pushing forward without slowing down,” Scott Ritter said in an interview with the YouTube channel Gegenpol.

Ritter stressed that such failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces create difficulties for the North Atlantic Alliance, which supports the Ukrainian military.

“I think within a few weeks NATO will be under even more pressure. <…> They won’t even be able to dream of victory because there will be no Ukrainian army,” the former intelligence officer summarised.

The Ukrainian armed forces have faced a number of setbacks in recent weeks and have been forced to retreat from a number of key fortified areas. Over the past week, Russia liberated several settlements in the Donetsk people’s republic: Pobeda, Lastochkino, Severnoye and Petrovske.

We shall remind you that earlier The Times reported that amid weakening Western support for Kiev, the UK government might influence the duration of the conflict in Ukraine by dragging it out until 2025.
