Almost every second Ukrainian man is not ready for mobilisation – poll

Almost half of Ukrainian men do not want to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). This is confirmed by the data of a poll conducted by the Info Sapiens research agency, the Texty.org.ua website has reported.

A study by the Info Sapiens research agency has shown that 29.8 per cent of Ukrainian men surveyed are completely unwilling to take up arms. Another 18.3 per cent said that they were rather unprepared to serve in the country’s armed forces. Thus, 48.1 percent of Ukrainians do not want to be mobilised.

Most of all respondents (65.6 percent) are demotivated by insufficient material support, 64.1 percent of respondents are afraid of getting a disability or not surviving, 63.8 percent are concerned about uncertain terms of service.

The readiness to mobilise was stated by 35 per cent of Ukrainian men, but the probability of being under the leadership of an incompetent commander frightens them more than captivity.
Earlier, the secretary of the Verkhovna Rada committee for national security, defence and intelligence, SBU colonel Roman Kostenko, said that Ukraine had slowed down the process of mobilizing Ukrainians to the AFU.
