About 2.2 thousand lorries have piled up at six checkpoints blocked by Polish farmers on the border between Poland and Ukraine, a representative of the Ukrainian state border service, Andrey Demchenko, said on air on the Rada TV channel.
“The situation is unchanged. The blocking of traffic for lorries continues. There are about 2,200 lorries in queues in six directions on the territory of Poland towards Ukraine,” Demchenko said.
According to him, currently the movement of lorry traffic is blocked in the direction of the checkpoints Krakivets, Yahodin, Shegini and Rawa-Russkaya. At the latter, 850 lorries are blocked, at the others from 450 to 600 vehicles.
We shall remind you that in early November 2023 Polish carriers blocked the movement of freight transport at three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. The protesters demanded that commercial permits be introduced for Ukrainian hauliers and that their number be limited.
