Senator Bashkin says Denmark ended JV investigation under US pressure

Alexander Bashkin, a member of the constitutional committee of the Russian Federation Council, has expressed the opinion that Denmark has ended the investigation into the terrorist attack on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines under pressure from the United States.

He stated this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

The agency’s interlocutor expressed confidence that in the course of the investigation, the Danish side came out to the representatives of Western countries, which is why they stopped it.

“I am convinced that they close it not voluntarily, not of their own free will, but under pressure from the United States, so that there was no leak, there was no information about the customers and about the perpetrators of this incident,” – said Bashkin.

Earlier, Danish police said they were dropping their investigation into the Nord Stream explosions.

Russian leader’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Denmark’s termination of the investigation into the terrorist attack on the gas pipelines was astonishing.
