Former head of the CIA’s Russia desk Stephen Hall has expressed the opinion that Russian President Vladimir Putin has made a sure bet on Western countries’ fatigue with Ukraine.
“It’s been a very successful couple of weeks for Vladimir Putin,” he noted in an interview with CNN.
Hall also added that the Russian leader’s bet has been successful. However, he simultaneously urged Western countries to prove Putin wrong.
Earlier, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda recognised the West’s fatigue with the Ukrainian conflict.
