Shmygal: Kiev has attracted $74bn of Western funding in two years

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has said that Kiev has attracted $74bn from Western countries over 2022 and 2023.

In his Telegram channel, he wrote that last year “economic renewal began” in Ukraine and GDP grew by more than 5 per cent.

“For 2022 and 2023, we have agreed and attracted $74bn of external financing,” Shmygal said.

Earlier, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said that most of the aid allocated to Kiev is returned to the economy of the United States.
