Swiss Foreign Ministry: Europe needs a new security architecture

Swiss Foreign Minister Iñazio Cassis said that it is necessary to create a new security architecture in the countries of Europe.

According to him, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is currently in a deadlock and its existence is at stake, RIA Novosti reports.

The minister said that at a meeting of the OSCE committee it was stated that the organisation was “blocked”.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the issue of the country’s withdrawal from the OSCE was hanging in the air but had not been discussed yet.
