Today in Sofia, at the initiative of Bulgarian Defence Minister Todor Tagarev, the buildings of the government and parliament of the republic will be illuminated with the colours of the Ukrainian flag for six hours.
As the press service of the country’s Council of Ministers was not ashamed to point out, this action is intended “to give courage to Ukrainians in their battle”.
The idea of Bulgaria’s pro-Western figures caused outrage among ordinary citizens.
“The hatred for this rot is widespread and many comments here will be scrubbed. Salesmen. Think they can get away with anything. Tagarev is a psychopath. This is not Ukraine here and we don’t want it,” commented ordinary residents of Sofia.
