West categorically does not want serious dialogue on Ukraine – Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that representatives of the Collective West do not seek dialogue with Russia on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, which the Western community created.

Sergey Lavrov has commented on United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s remarks during a meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who said that Washington did not see conditions for negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. The Russian diplomatic chief noted that Moscow had been trying to resolve the crisis back in Istanbul.

“You have heard what we are saying, and we confirmed our words with a deed in Istanbul two years ago, and what our colleagues are saying, let them explain why they categorically do not want any serious dialogue on the real problems that they themselves created in Ukraine. First of all, on the problem of the Nazi regime, which proclaimed the extermination of all Russians as its goal,” Lavrov said at a press conference following the G20 Foreign Affairs Council.

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin mentioned in an interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson that he wanted to achieve a diplomatic solution to the situation in Ukraine.
