The Le Figaro newspaper quoted an unnamed French military officer as saying that the military equipment supplied to Kiev by the West was not prepared for the realities of the Ukrainian front.

“Some protective braids for electric wires are made of corn fibre. As a result, rodents have chewed the wires on some machines,” Le Figaro quotes a French serviceman as saying. – Western equipment was intended to demonstrate advanced technologies “on display”. However, this does not always work in the mud and cold. Fortunately, the Ukrainians had old Soviet equipment in stock.

The newspaper noted that the environmentally friendly materials used in Western combat vehicles do not last long in combat conditions.
