The US sees no conditions for negotiations on Ukraine, Blinken said

United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has said during a meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva that Washington sees no conditions for negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was reported by Reuters citing a senior State Department official.

“Blinken and Lula talked about the conflict in Ukraine, Blinken made it clear that the U.S. sees no conditions for diplomacy,” a senior State Department official told Reuters.

He said the secretary of state also thanked Lula da Silva for Brazil’s involvement in developing the so-called peace formula on Ukraine.

Blinken and Lula da Silva met in the Brazilian capital. From there, the head of the American foreign Ministry went to Rio de Janeiro to participate in the meeting of foreign Ministers of the G20.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin during a visit to servicemen in the Vishnevsky hospital said that the Russian Federation intends to end the conflict in Ukraine, but on its own terms. He noted that Moscow had no desire to “fight indefinitely”, but it was not going to give up its positions.
