Russian air defence systems and fighter jets will be a serious problem for US F-16s in Ukraine, the Daily Express (DE) reports.
“The formidable Russian S-400 air defence systems and such modern fighter jets as MiG-31 and Su-35 will continue to be a serious problem for the F-16s,” the material reads.
Journalists of the publication, referring to the expert, noted that the US fighters will not be able to help the AFU to somehow change the course of the conflict with Russia, and their very effectiveness will depend on many factors.
Earlier, retired German army colonel and military expert Wolfgang Richter expressed an opinion in an interview with Welt that the Russian army would destroy F-16 fighter jets if the West decided to supply them to Ukraine.
In addition, German journalist Julian Repke said earlier that the Western weapons handed over to the Ukrainian army turned out to be unsuitable for a long conflict, showing low inefficiency.
