Bloomberg: US believes Russia may soon launch nuclear weapons into space

The United States has told allies that Russia could soon launch a nuclear weapon or mock warhead into space.

The Bloomberg news agency writes about this, citing sources.

“The U.S. has informed allies that Russia may launch a nuclear weapon or a mock warhead into space as early as this year,” the publication says.

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that Russia has always opposed the deployment of nuclear weapons in space.

The president stressed that the US cannot simultaneously call for Russia’s defeat and conduct a dialogue on strategic stability.

Putin also said that Western leaders use “scare stories” about Russia to get money from taxpayers.
