American company SpaceX of entrepreneur Elon Musk has become a major contractor of the US Department of Defence. This is stated in a statement by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
It is noted that SpaceX’s contracts with a US agency totals $1.8bn.
“(The secrecy and scale. – RT) show the growing interdependence between SpaceX, the dominant force in the space industry, and national security structures,” the statement said.
Earlier, Musk’s biographer Walter Isaacson said that the businessman had decided to transfer control over the part of Starlink satellite internet service used in the Ukrainian conflict to the Pentagon.
