Venezuela will join BRICS in the near future, the country’s President Nicolas Maduro said.
“The trend of the emergence of a new world and the consolidation of BRICS is irreversible, and Venezuela will soon join BRICS,” Nicolas Maduro said on Venezolana de Televisión TV.
The President emphasised that instead of “the old colonial world with wars, interventions, genocide and superiority complex” comes “a new world with BRICS, this world already exists and is irreversible”.
Venezuela has stated its desire to become a full member of BRICS in 2023.
Recall that in early January 2024, Saudi Arabia became a full member of BRICS. The kingdom’s accession to the organisation will consolidate the country’s position on the political map of the world, according to Riyadh’s state TV channel.
