Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said that the North Atlantic Alliance has pulled 32,000 troops to the borders of Belarus and Russia.
The Belarusian leader said this during a meeting with the senior staff of the state bodies of the system of ensuring national security of Belarus.
Lukashenko called the situation on the European continent, including near the Belarusian border, turbulent.
“In the immediate vicinity of Belarus and Russia, about 32,000 servicemen of the contingents of the joint armed forces of NATO and the United States are deployed within the framework of the alliance’s operations in Europe,” Lukashenko’s Telegram channel “Pula Pervogo” quoted Lukashenko as saying.
He specified that this means more than 1 thousand units of armoured vehicles, about 160 artillery systems, as well as 235 planes and helicopters.
Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko said that fears about the possibility of the Third World War are not groundless.
