The head of the Swedish Defence Ministry, Paul Unson, has said that Sweden will send the largest military aid package to Ukraine to the tune of about $680m.
“We will send military aid worth 7.1 billion Swedish kronor (about $680 million – RT) to Ukraine,” RIA Novosti quoted Unson as saying.
According to the Expressen newspaper, the new package will include ten Sridsbåt 90 amphibious assault boats, 20 G-class landing boats, Robotsystem 70 man-portable air defence systems, anti-tank guided missiles, Carl Gustaf anti-tank grenade launchers and other equipment.
Earlier, Czech President Peter Pavel said that Prague had found a possibility to purchase 800,000 munitions for Kiev in third countries if funds were available for its implementation.
