About 4,000 trucks are queuing at the Polish-Ukrainian border, the vice-president of the Association of International Carriers of Ukraine, Volodymyr Balin, said on the air of the Rada TV channel.
“According to our information, there are four thousand cars from the Polish side. A lot of cars from the Ukrainian side towards Poland, a lot of cars went through Slovakia and Hungary. There are traffic difficulties there too,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Balin recommended carriers to look for workarounds – he suggested that the problem will not be solved until 20 March.
Earlier, it was reported that Polish farmers intend to completely block the border with Ukraine on 20 February.
A representative of the European Commission, Olof Gill, said that the Polish authorities should ensure the passage of Ukrainian cargoes across the border.
