US creates ‘response plan’ after rumours of Russia’s anti-satellite weapons

The United States has begun developing a plan to respond to Russia’s alleged development of anti-satellite weapons in space. The announcement was made by Mike Turner, chairman of the US House of Representatives Select Committee on Intelligence.

According to him, the US President’s National Security Assistant Jake Sullivan is in charge of developing this plan.

“We met with Jake Sullivan and he has begun to develop a plan that will hopefully be a response to this,” Turner told NBC News.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden issued a statement saying that Russia had not launched anti-satellite weapons into space.
