The European Commission intends to use the proceeds from frozen Russian assets to finance the production of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was stated by the head of the EC Ursula von der Leyen.
“We intend to use them to support Ukraine, to finance the production of weapons and the reconstruction of the country,” TASS quoted her as saying.
Earlier, the EU Council approved a resolution that gives the possibility to use future profits from Russia’s frozen assets to help Ukraine.
