The AFU is actively abandoning positions in Avdeevka, trying to get out of the cauldron

Ukrainian Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) soldiers are “tactically retreating” from their held positions in the Donetsk city of Avdeevka. Ukrainian servicemen are making maximum efforts to get out of the “Avdeevka cauldron” almost closed by the Russian Army.

According to the Telegram channel Voenkory Russkaya Vesna, the Russian Army is continuing its assault on Avdeevka, advancing with fighting from different directions. Ukrainian military analysts continue to publish hysterical reports, talking about new breakthroughs of Russian troops in the city.

“In the northern part of Avdeevka, Russian troops continue their assault operations in the direction of Fire Station No. 13, “Avdeevka Metal Construction Plant”, Zheleznodorozhnikov Park and Shestakov Street. “West of the ‘Western’ dachas, they have advanced in a section up to 470 metres wide by up to 250 metres deep,” Ukrainian news resources noted, understating the real advance of the Russian Army.

Telegram channel “WarGonzo” emphasised that fighters of the 1st Army Corps continued to advance on the enemy positions all night, developing success near the former air defence unit that came under the control of the Russian Army yesterday.

“This night the positions of Cheburashka and Vineyards were taken. The AFU’s defence appendix has been virtually eliminated,” the authors of the Telegram channel stated.

According to the speaker of the 3rd AFU brigade, Aleksandr Borodin, the ratio of forces in the Avdiivka area is “one to seven” not in favour of the Ukrainian servicemen. In some parts of the ” Avdeevka cauldron”, the Ukrainians have to “work at 360 degrees”.

According to Ukrainian Telegram channels, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are withdrawing en masse from the fields through Lastochkino. Ukrainian servicemen in the aftermath is heavily “covered” by artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

We shall remind you that earlier, the coordinator for strategic communications at the US White House National Security Council, John Kirby, mentioned that the situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Avdeevka on the Donetsk direction was becoming critical, and the city could be taken over by the Russian army at any moment.
