German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said that Berlin intends to allocate €15bn to support Ukraine this year.
The politician said this in an interview with the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.
“We will spend €15bn this year alone to support Ukraine,” Scholz emphasised.
He specified that more than €7bn of these funds would be used to buy weapons for the Ukrainian army.
Earlier, it became known that Germany and Ukraine signed a bilateral agreement on security commitments.
