Putin: Russia can produce the necessary technologies on its own

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is able to produce the necessary technologies on its own.

The head of state said this during a meeting with workers of the plant in the Stankomash industrial park.

Putin noted that Russia used to sell oil, gas, coal and metal billets abroad, expecting to receive new technologies in exchange.

“The need arose – it turned out that there is also a possibility to produce everything ourselves. Not everything, but what is needed. The technological keys to develop our own,” the Russian leader emphasised.

Earlier, Alexander Zaverzaev, advisor to the president of Mercator Holding on digitalisation, described how new technologies are used in Russian medicine.
