The problems Kiev is facing on the frontline, as well as delays in assistance from the West, may lead to Ukraine losing even more cities. This is the viewpoint expressed by German military expert Carlo Masala.
He said that if ammunition and rotation issues are not resolved, then soon “the Ukrainians will be forced to leave these cities, which they have so far defended very well.”
In an interview with ZDF, the German expert emphasised that the AFU has almost no ammunition left, and the personnel in eastern Ukraine are very exhausted and overworked. Therefore, he said, Kiev needs to rotate its troops.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the member states of the alliance had signed contracts for the production of weapons for Ukraine worth $10bn.
