Stoltenberg: NATO sees no immediate military threat to bloc countries

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that the North Atlantic Alliance sees no immediate military threat to the bloc’s member countries.

He said during a press conference in Brussels.

“NATO countries do not see any immediate military threat to themselves,” TASS quoted the NATO Secretary General as saying.

Stoltenberg added that this could be explained by a sharp increase in military spending by the alliance countries.

He also said that European NATO countries and Canada have increased their military spending by $600bn since 2014.
