British Foreign Secretary David Cameron has urged other countries not to fear an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and to continue supplying weapons to the AFU. According to him, warnings from Russia are “empty rhetoric”.
The minister expressed this opinion in a column for the US newspaper The Hill.
“We have proved that the risk of escalation is illusory. The UK was the first to provide (Ukraine. – RT) with everything from anti-tank weapons to artillery and tanks, and now long-range firepower such as Storm Shadow missiles,” Cameron said.
He added that President Vladimir Putin’s words about escalation were “empty rhetoric”.
UK Army Chief of Staff Patrick Saunders earlier warned that Britons should be persuaded to join the army if the conflict in Ukraine escalates and NATO intervenes.
