The Financial Times has revealed a secret club of Europe’s biggest bankers

A secret club of major European financiers and bankers has been operating in Europe for decades, says the Financial Times.

According to the publication, the club meets twice a year in luxury hotels and palaces and discusses sensitive topics, including merger deals and global policy-making.

The club has no website, its composition and minutes of meetings are not published anywhere, and its members are advised not to share details of the discussions, the newspaper quoted its sources as saying.

In January, Bloomberg wrote that a secret meeting was held in December between Ukraine and its G7 allies and a small group of countries from the Global South.
