British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has criticised Russian President Vladimir Putin’s interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson. The British prime minister called it “ludicrous.”
Speaking on Sky News, Sunak said the Russian leader’s remarks about the responsibility of NATO and the United States for starting the conflict in Ukraine were “clearly ludicrous.”
“I am proud that the United Kingdom has been a firm supporter of Ukraine from the very beginning,” Sunak said.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said he had familiarised himself with Putin’s interview with Carlson and found it “ridiculous”. State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet reacted to the words of the German politician. He called Scholz’s reaction nonsense and a gesture of helplessness.
