Germany is experiencing its final days as an industrial superpower – Bloomberg

Bloomberg believes that more and more signs now indicate that Germany may soon lose its status as an industrial superpower.

“The US is moving away from Europe and seeking to compete with its transatlantic allies. China is becoming a more serious rival <…>. The latest blow to some producers has been the cessation of supplies of huge volumes of cheap Russian natural gas,” Bloomberg writes.

Along with external factors, Germany’s internal turmoil, including a lack of investment in various sectors and an aging workforce, is only exacerbating the country’s situation, the article said.

“We are no longer competitive,” – the edition quotes the words of Finance Minister Christian Lindner.

We will remind, earlier the FRG ambassador to Moscow Alexander Lambsdorf said in an interview with RND that Germany will have to co-operate with Russia, despite the very different positions of the countries on fundamental issues.
