Americans no longer view Biden as president of the United States – WSJ

In the run-up to the election, residents of the United States do not see incumbent President Joe Biden in office not only because of his age, but because of his poorly formed image and lack of emotional connection with voters. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

According to the WSJ, despite some of Joe Biden’s successes, many voters do not see him as “an international statesman, a master negotiator, a comforter for the country or an entertainer on television.”

“According to pollsters and analysts, Biden’s mistakes may affect the formation of attitudes toward him more than previous presidents’ mistakes have affected their image – not only because Biden, at 81, is the oldest sitting president in the country, but because he has not created an image of a strong leader or made an emotional connection with voters,” the publication said.

Former US President Donald Trump, on the contrary, has established stronger ties with his potential electorate, the newspaper specified. Supporters of the former US leader to a much greater extent than supporters of Biden say that their vote is, “rather a sign of support for their candidate” than a signal of opposition to the rival party.

Recall, earlier, the channel News Nation said that residents of the United States have more debt than at any time in history. Today, the cost of living for the average American has increased by 14 per cent, and the total debt of American citizens has reached $17 trillion.
