US will scrutinise Putin’s interview with Carlson – Peskov

Russian leader’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov believes that the West will carefully study and analyse Vladimir Putin’s interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson.

Dmitry Peskov said that the US media is tracking professional jealousy after the Russian president’s interview with Tucker Carlson.

“Firstly, we do not see any hysteria and panic. And I will not agree with this opinion of yours and Mr Bout. They will study this interview very carefully, they will analyse it… There’s such, you know, professional reluctance to publish the interview that was given to Carlson because there’s their own split both in terms of political views and the corporate split in the media is very serious. They are divided very rigidly on the criteria of support for one party or the other, one of the two parties. Therefore, of course, there is a certain professional jealousy,” Peskov said in response to journalists’ question about the reaction to the release of the interview in the Western media. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

The Kremlin spokesman noted that in time will be followed by “a very deep analysis of this interview.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson in the social network X gained more than 60 million views in about seven hours. The number of reposts exceeds 176,000, and more than 541,000 people have already “liked” it.
