Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed Russia’s BRICS chairmanship in a telephone conversation.
This is reported by the press service of the Kremlin.
“Both sides confirmed their readiness to step up foreign policy coordination within various multilateral structures, particularly in the UN, BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. Xi Jinping expressed support for the priorities of the Russian presidency in the BRICS association,” the statement said.
Earlier it became known that Xi Jinping held a telephone conversation with Putin.
