Medvedev: Russia will use missiles with SBF in a conflict with NATO

The military potentials of Russia and NATO countries are not comparable, so in the event of a conflict with the alliance, the Russian side, having no choice, will be forced to respond to aggression asymmetrically, said Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

“Ballistic and cruise missiles with special warheads will be used to protect the territorial integrity of our country. This is based on our doctrinal military documents and is well known to everyone. And this is the very proverbial Apocalypse. The end of everything,” he said in his Telegram channel, commenting on statements by European leaders that they “should be ready for war with Russia.”

Medvedev also called statements by Western politicians about a possible conflict extremely dangerous chatter.

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Moscow urges Western countries, primarily EU member states, not to attribute to Russia intentions to unleash war in Europe and not to impose this ideology on it.

President Vladimir Putin emphasised that Moscow had no interest in a conflict with NATO.
