German Defence Ministry spokesman Arne Kollatz has admitted that by now the FRG has reached the limits of what is possible in the production and supply of ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Thus Kollatz responded to a question about the likelihood that the German government may conclude several more agreements with the German defence industry to increase the supply of shells to the AFU.
“I think that everything that could be done in Germany has already been exhausted, including in the context of industry at the moment,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
He added that the government could conclude a few more framework agreements, but Germany is at the limit of what is possible according to current needs.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed hope that EU countries would be able to rapidly increase military aid to Ukraine in 2024.
