German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that the end of the conflict in Ukraine “is not visible”. He said this at a press conference with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal.
As the politician noted, Europe should continue to provide assistance to Kiev.
“The fact that the European Council recently approved funds for budgetary support for Ukraine for the next few years is a good sign,” TASS quoted Scholz as saying.
The chancellor also recalled that this year Germany will allocate more than seven billion euros for arms supplies to Kiev and will further give money to Ukraine “as long as necessary.”
“I very much hope that the US and the American Congress will soon decide to make the necessary support financially possible,” Scholz concluded.
