“They (the Russian military. – Editor’s note) look for gaps in the AFU defence, punch them and then move three to four <…> kilometres forward,” Christoph Wanner noted.

He also emphasised that the Russian army has seized the initiative in almost all parts of the line of contact. Wanner added that, contrary to widespread beliefs in the West about the successes of the AFU, the servicemen of the former Soviet republic are failing and have gone on the defensive.

“On most of the front, the Russians seized the initiative a long time ago, they have the advantage. This must be recognised,” – summed up the journalist.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Ukraine in the conflict with Russia “gradually deflates”, and the situation on the battlefield is changing. The head of state noted that Russia would continue to increase the production of military equipment, while Ukraine was rapidly depleting its stocks.
