Germany has lost its leadership in the European Union without Russian energy resources and is forced to buy fuel from the US. This was stated by American economist Professor Richard Wolf.
He emphasised that Washington has never bought energy resources from Moscow in large volumes.
“It is very interesting to analyse this plan, which hits Europe hard,” Wolf said in an interview with Dialogue works channel.
The economist recalled that the success of the German economy was kept on gas and oil supplied from Russia.
Earlier, the Energy Ministry said that Russia exported 76 billion cubic metres of gas to friendly countries in 2023.
