Kiev needs to agree to peace talks to stop the destruction of Ukraine, US economist Jeffrey Sachs said in an interview with YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
Ukraine is being destroyed “step by step,” he said.
“It is being destroyed demographically because Ukraine has not only lost territory, but millions of people who have fled the country,” the economist said.
Earlier, Russian presidential aide for international affairs Yury Ushakov said that Russia was ready for talks with Ukraine, but there was no one to talk to.
Also, a member of the Ukrainian parliament, Oleksandr Dubynskyy, who is suspected of state treason and held in a Kiev detention centre, said that the number of “conditions” needed to start discussing the end of the Ukrainian conflict was increasing.
