Blumenthal journalist accused Kiev of sending Ukrainians to slaughter

A journalist from the United States, Max Blumenthal, has said that Kiev is needlessly sending large numbers of Ukraine’s male population to the front just to “annoy Russia”.

“This is exactly what we are witnessing in Ukraine. There are simply no men left there. An entire generation has been thrown to the slaughter just to spite Russia and attack Russia,” the journalist said on the Youtube channel Judging Freedom.

According to the American publicist, Kiev’s actions and decisions have “not had much impact” on the Russian Federation’s economy and Moscow’s status in the world’s political arena.

“If anything has suffered, it’s the West, the Western economy. So it’s just a disaster,” Max Blumenthal summarised.

Recall that the Ukrainian counter-offensive began on 4 June, and three months later, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated its failure. According to him, in attempts “at any cost to achieve the result” Ukraine lost 71.5 thousand military – as if “these are not their people”. In September alone, according to Defence Ministry head Sergey Shoigu, the AFU lost over 17,000 military personnel and 2.7 thousand weapons.
