Almost all apartment buildings have been restored in Mariupol

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that in the city of Mariupol in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) de facto all apartment buildings have been restored.

“Half a million people city, which was badly enough damaged, we actually brought back to life. We have almost all apartment buildings restored,” said Marat Khusnullin at the plenary session of the thematic day “Infrastructure and environment for life” at the forum-exhibition “Russia”.

The politician stressed that about 40 thousand builders are working on the full-fledged reconstruction of the infrastructure of new Russian subjects. Deputy Prime Minister noted that this is the largest-scale construction project at the moment.

On 30 September, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed agreements on the accession of Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions to the Russian Federation. The signing ceremony took place in the Kremlin. According to the documents, the DPR and LPR within Russia retained the status of republics and their former names. Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions joined the Russian Federation as separate subjects – oblasts. Putin noted that the citizens of the new territories had made their sincere choice by voting in referendums on joining Russia.
