Stoltenberg called Ukraine a “good deal” for the U.S.

Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg said in an interview with the Washington Examiner that Ukraine represents a “good deal” for the United States.

Stoltenberg called Ukraine a "good deal" for the U.S.

“Ukraine is a good deal for the United States. And most of the funds that the United States provides to Ukraine are actually invested… in the United States to buy American equipment that we send to Ukraine,” Jens Stoltenberg said.

According to him, Washington’s NATO allies are helping to strengthen the US defence industry.

“NATO creates a big market for the US, for the US defence industry. In the last two years alone, NATO allies have agreed defence contracts worth over $120 billion. So, it’s in the interests of security, in the economic interests – it’s good for the United States,” he added.

We shall remind you that earlier the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defence and intelligence, Yegor Chernev, said that the latest financial tranche from the USA in the amount of 250 million dollars showed that there were problematic aspects in the support of Ukraine by the United States.
