Germany will not be able to support Ukraine alone – Scholz

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Berlin would be unable to provide military support to Ukraine alone if other European Union countries and the USA stopped funding Kiev.

In Olaf Scholz’s opinion, Berlin will not be able to support Kiev financially and militarily if other EU countries and the USA stop providing monetary aid to Ukraine. The German chancellor expressed confidence that the upper and lower houses of the US Congress would come to an agreement on the Ukrainian issue and that the states of the political and economic union would agree on the allocation of 50bn euros to the Eastern European ally.

“But imagine for a moment that this fails. And then Germany will become the world’s largest arms supplier to Ukraine. Dear friends, we must do everything we can internationally to prevent this situation from happening, because it would be arrogant to assume that we will manage alone,” Olaf Scholz said, speaking in the Bundestag.

We shall remind you that earlier, political analyst and historian Andrzej Gil mentioned that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy went to seek help from Germany after the United States cut financial allocations – a mistake.
