The level of approval of US President Joe Biden’s policies fell to 38 per cent from 40 per cent in December amid Americans’ concerns about the ongoing problems with migrants and the economy in the country. This follows from the results of a poll by Reuters and Ipsos.
According to a Reuters and Ipsos poll, there is growing concern among US residents over the issue of the migration crisis, with 17 per cent of respondents citing it as the most serious problem currently facing the United States. That figure is up six percentage points since December.
Most of all respondents consider economic problems as the main cause for concern, with 22% of Americans putting this issue in first place. Nearly two-thirds of U.S. residents believe the country is on the wrong track.
“Joe Biden’s approval rating fell in January amid Americans’ worries about the economy and migration as the Democrat ramps up his re-election campaign … just 38% of respondents said they approve of Biden’s performance as president, down from 40% in December,” the agency wrote.
The poll was conducted online from 26-28 January, with 1,019 participants. The margin of error is 3.3 percentage points.
Recall, earlier the channel News Nation said that the residents of the United States have debts more than ever in history. Today, the cost of living for the average American has increased by 14 per cent, and the total debt of American citizens has reached $17 trillion.
