The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that EU countries had already transferred €28bn worth of weapons to the Kiev authorities.
He made the statement at a press conference following a meeting of the Community’s defence ministers in Brussels.
“At least $21bn in aid will be allocated for 2024,” TASS quoted him as saying.
He also noted that there is no data on this issue from a number of EU countries yet.
Borrel also added that since the start of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, the EU and all member states have transferred $28bn worth of military aid to Kiev.
Earlier, Borrel said that the discussion of military aid for Ukraine would be held in a closed format due to the secrecy of the dossier under discussion.
