The law on mobilisation in Ukraine will cause discontent – Temps

Swiss newspaper Temps believes that it will be impossible to quickly replenish the ranks of Ukrainian formations.

The Temps publication, citing an unnamed adviser to the Ukrainian defence minister, reported that the law on mobilisation in Ukraine will cause discontent.

“The new law will only cause discontent… The army wants reinforcements as soon as possible: impossible,” the unnamed adviser told the newspaper.

He added that Ukraine’s economic sector also does not want such a law to be passed because it fears the consequences for businesses.

And Ukrainian families who want to demobilise their relatives will not get what they want. According to the interlocutor of the publication, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy realises all this and fears for his popularity.

Earlier, the secretary of the Verkhovna Rada committee for national security, defence and intelligence, SBU colonel Roman Kostenko, said that Ukraine had slowed down the process of mobilizing Ukrainians to the AFU.
